What's New?

September 2008

Welcome New Students!

We have expanded our studio schedule to three days per week. Join me in welcoming student who started since March 2008 recital: P.J., Matt, Craig, Gabby, Olivia, Alex, & Kayla. We should have some rousing Studio Classes this year!

Alums

Our recent graduates of the McIntyre Music Studio, Sarah L., and Marissa T. are settling into college life. We'll keep you posted on their news. Singer/songwriter Lauren Zettler of NYC, returned home to Carmel to offer a benefit concert to help raise money for the Red Cross to benefit the Indiana Flood Victims. More about this in our next issue of What's New? October.

"No Lessons" Schedule

Every year, I try to study the calendars ahead of time, and determine which lessons will be affected by a holiday. This year is a little less complicated since Halloween is on a Friday. There will be one exception to the weekly lesson for each lesson day. Here's the table, so you can remain on this page and still mark your calendars. It is also accessible from the Lesson Schedule page.

All medals are awarded at Spring Recital. (More...)

Spring Recital

Piano Tuning

About the time you turn your furnace on to warm your home for the winter, it will be a good idea to have your piano tuned. Ideally, we have our pianos tuned twice a year: about two weeks after the air conditioning has been on, and a couple weeks after the furnace has kicked on. You can call Meridian Music, Piano Solutions or use my technician, John McArdle. John is a seasoned and skilled technician, & pianist.

Please read our Studio Policies, especially the Make-up Lesson Policy. (More...)
