Music Software Additions have been loaded into our studio computer. You'll notice the studio has been rearranged, allowing for additional chairs and people. Instructional software includes: Smack-a-Note, Music Ace, Music Ace 2, Rock Rap & Roll, Julliard Music, Finale, and Garage Band, and Reason. If your piece is in the public domain (most classical works), it is very possible to take your own audio recording convert them to MP3 files and play them on your PDA, MP3 Player, or iPod.
Summer has been very productive for several students. Sarah L. was awarded a scholarship by the Indiana Piano Teacher Guild to attend Blue Lake Summer Music Camp. She highly recommends the experience to everyone in our studio. This was her 3rd consecutive year at Blue Lake. Other students who studied privately this summer are: Hollie S., Amy T., Emma M., and Lauren B.
Solo Recitalist Lauren B. is preparing for a solo recital of Scarlatti, Mozart, Chopin, Kabalevsky, and Tchaikovsky in November. Details will follow in the future editions of "What's New?" on this web site. She will really appreciate your encouragement by Team McIntyre. Go Lauren!
Graduates are checking in to share how thier lives are unfolding. This is such a great joy for me! I just received word one my very first students who began piano study in 1976, is now 33 and an airline attendant with United Airlines. She still plays the piano and continued study through her senior year of high school. Another is in the recording business in Nashville, Tennessee. In August, I got word from Lauren Z., who has just completed her Freshman year at Berkelee School of Music in Boston. She even took classes this summer! She has declared a double major in Film Scoring and Music Business. She shares upon entry, she tested at second semester theory and second semester ear training! Woo-hoo! Her piano and computer skills she learned in our studio have really given her an advantage at Berkelee!
Bio - My biography has been updated if you need to share it with prospective students.

Spring Recital is tentatively proposed for Sunday March 6 at 2:00 pm. More information will be posted as it is confirmed. The date must be scheduled around U of I's Spring Break and an early Easter.
Missed Lessons are a little more flexible this year. If you know ahead of time you will miss a lesson, phone/e-mail me first; I may be able to fit you in at another time. If not, then try to switch with another student after consulting the schedule. Each name provides a clickable link to their e-mail address.
Spring Recital Audio Recordings were a real success this year. There is a strong advantage to performing in a hall set up for recording. There are a few extra copies left, if anyone is interested...first come first served.
Cell Phone Ringers - We just bought new cell phones for our family, and started experimenting together different ways to download new cell phone ring tones. Then, my imagination took over...hey, we create MIDI files so easily in our studio, why not customize our own cell phone ringer? I created a page on how to do this yourselves found at: How To Create An Original Cellular Phone Ring Tone, found on our studio web site. Feel free to e-mail the page to friends and family.
