AIM FEST is near! Go to AIM Fest 2007 to find our studio schedule of who plays what where. Be sure to number your measures and look up all terms in your pieces, just in case we run out of time to reveiw this in your lesson.
Time to Tune!!! Top notch tuner moves to Indy! Now is the perfect time to have your piano tuned. It is recommended to tune your piano twice a year: in the fall after your heat has been turned on for a couple weeks, then once in the spring or summer, once your air conditioning has been on for a couple weeks. We are SO fortunate to have a world class piano technician who has just relocated here from California. He has tuned for artists who have performed concerti with the San Francisco Symphony. His name is John McArdle. To schedule a tuning or to ask him any questions regarding your instrument, phone him at (317) 705-9871.
Thanksgiving Day there will not be any piano lessons. To clarify holiday lesson dates, consult: "No Lessons" Schedule
Spring Recital 2007 is scheduled for MARCH.
We begin holiday music (and advanced recital pieces) the lesson after AIM Fest. Woo-hoo!
For new students, remits are the same in December, regardless of number of lessons in December, since the remit is a yearly tuition installment. [See Studio Polices for clarification.]. Ask for the final amount if your child receives a holiday piano book. The students enjoy focusing on holiday music following AIM FEST; I use the opportunity to increase their sight reading skills by learning many pieces in a short time.
In January, we 'hit the ground running' with our recital pieces and method books!
